The Sochi 2014 Winter Games torch relay breaks more barriers every day. Meet 101-year-old Alexander Kaptarenko who recently ran with the flame in Novosibirsk. According to the organizing committee he is the oldest torch bearer ever.
He approached the task with dedication and professionalism, practicing with an unusual object – a frozen fish that resembled the torch.
At 101, he remains active and serves as an inspiration. You might catch him playing table tennis at the local club or at the 2015 European Championship for veterans.
